Himalayan Meditation is a powerful, integrated practice rooted in ancient Yog-Vedanta (yogic practices and Vedic wisdom) and Himalayan kriya yoga and meditation traditions; designed to bring the mind into stillness, regulate the nervous system and expand conscious awareness.
A powerful life tool designed to dissolve illusion and the limitations of the ego-self, guiding you toward the direct realisation of your True Self — and the natural expression of peace, love, joy, vitality and inner fulfilment.
Drawing from thousands of years of traditional orally passed down wisdom, it combines three core elements:
• Mantras – a subtle 'Bija' seed sounds used to quiet the mind and move beyond surface thinking into deeper states of awareness
• Breath (Pranayama) – structured breathing patterns that calm the body and balance the nervous system
• Kriya – intentional, evolutionary techniques that accelerate inner transformation
Together, these create a highly effective method that works on both the mind, body and soul — not just relaxing you, but transforming and illuminating your state from within.
Practices such as Transcendental Meditation and Vedic meditation primarily use mantra to transcend the thinking mind. Other well known practices focus on breath or body awareness.
Himalayan Meditation is unique in that it integrates both mantra, breath and kriya techniques, combining mental and physiological techniques to create a more unified, potent and dynamic experience of meditation.
It is simple, effective and transformative even for beginners.
This meditation practice is originating by the Himalayan and Vedic traditions, including the original oral teachings of the Kriya Yoga lineage associated with the Babaji tradition and masters such as Paramahansa Yogananda and Sri Yukteswar. It was brought to further formation and teaching within in the Sattva yoga practice.
At its deeper level, is an initiated practice — meaning you are personally guided into the method by an initiated master teacher (Zari), and receive a personal bija (sacred seed sound) mantra to support your meditation journey.
This sacred evolutionary wisdom has been passed down through an unbroken oral tradition, entrusted from sages and masters to devoted students, preserving the purity, integrity, sacred knowledge and depth of the teachings.
It cannot be fully found in books, online, written references or AI, because it is received through direct teaching, energetic transmission and embodied practice.
This transmission is passed from the wisdom keeper to the student (you), enlivening inherent spiritual qualities and accelerating the path of inner evolution.

'My journey with meditation began long before I understood what it was. At 14, I discovered it naturally as something I already knew what to do (like many). I would lie on my bed listening to new Age music; drifting into altered states. I had found doorway into other worlds and to navigate a period of deep change, including parental divorce and trauma challenges.
Years later, at 20, travelling through Thailand, I wandered into the Grand Palace with friends, curious, but unaware of what was about to unfold. A monk opened a golden door and invited us to learn meditation. We returned each day, sitting in stillness, receiving guidance and transmission.
What I experienced there changed something in me. I was never the same after this. Something awoke. A depth of feeling, expanded awareness and inner connection I had never known before. A profound sense of heart expansion, presence and aliveness that quietly set the course for spiritual Self inquiry my life.
When I returned home, meditation became a daily practice. What began as curiosity became devotion, and a portal to other dimensions, inner wisdom, healing and source.
'Over 30 years, this path has taken me across many traditions, teachings and lineages, from Buddhist meditation and Vipassana, to Taoist energy practices and Tai Chi, to TM Transcendental Meditation, and into the deeper Himalayan and Vedic traditions of Kriya yoga and mantra based meditation. I have lived and studied to master level in kriya yoga and meditation in the Himalayas of India and Bhutan, receiving direct initiation and guidance from master teachers within the Kriya Yoga lineage associated with Babaji, as well as Tibetan Buddhist masters. I continue to grow, learn and enjoy regular retreat time in self practice and guiding others.
This has not been a path of theory, but of lived, embodied experience, received through direct transmission and dedicated practice. Now, after nearly three decades of spiritual exploration, I share what has been passed to me.
Meditation is not something to 'do' it is who you Are. At our base level nature, we are absolute peace and bliss. Meditation as i understand, is a sacred remembrance and channel to the infinite wisdom of all that is.
